The Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum (ITLF) was established on June 9, 2022, at the KIC office in Tuibuong by recognized tribes within the district who have coexisted since time immemorial. The forum comprises prominent tribal organizations such as the Paite Tribe Council, Kuki Inpi, Simte Tribe Council, Vaiphei People’s Council, Mizo People’s Convention, Hmar Inpui, United Zou Organisation, and Gangte Tribe Union.
In response to the current crisis that unfolded at Manipur, India on May 3, 2023, the ITLF swiftly took action by establishing various departments to effectively address the challenges faced by tribal communities. These departments include ITLF Finance & Resource, ITLF Media Cell, ITLF Reliefs & Medical, ITLF Legal Cell, ITLF Women Wing, ITLF Plannng and Rehabilitation, Joint Philanthropic Organisation and ITLF Steering Committee. Together, these dedicated departments work tirelessly to tackle pressing issues and ensure the overall welfare of our Kuki-Zo tribal communities of Manipur.
